I want to make a clipping path but don’t know how. Also need to export that clipping path to Indesign and work on it there.
I always receive the message that a plug in may be missing, the file may not be supported, and that the file may be opened in another program.

You use the pen tool to create a clipping path in Photoshop then save the file as a PSD and import it into InDesign and you will see your clipping path.
The link below shows the best way to make a clipping path in Photoshop. Once you’ve done this, open the Paths Palette in Photoshop. Double click on the path you have created and save it. Then go to the Paths palette submenu (top right of the palette) and select CLIPPING PATH. Select your newly named path from the drop-down menu, ignore the FLATNESS field and click OK. The name of the path in the palette will now have an outline around it.
Now save the file as an EPS. Go to FILE / SAVE AS and select PHOTOSHOP EPS from the popup. Import the file into InDesign (FILE / PLACE) and the cutout should work.
