My dad needs a program to make a website and help design it. I would like photoshop so I can see what its like. Is there any program that has both? How much is photoshop?

Photoshop is about $800 for the standard version. And all photoshop is for is editing photos. If you want to design a webpage, there are tons of programs. Dreamweaver is considered among the best, but it’s also very expensive and really only good for advanced users. You can download Microsoft Expression Web Express for free and that should be good enough for designing a webpage :)
Photoshop price depends on the version and is not cheap. It is not suitable for web page development. Scan the web for a suitable product
Photoshop is currently 700$ which is way too much for me. If you want a free application like photoshop, try Gimp: http://www.gimp.org/
Both photoshop and Gimp could make graphics for a website, but if you want to actually make a website, you need an application like Macromedia Dreamweaver to write the code.

Its easier to start with an image when we design a Website, and these are the basic steps we should follow:
1. First, using Photoshop, create an image that mimics the general layout you’d like to use for your site.
2. Once you’re happy with the image you’ll need to “slice” it up for use in your Website template. In this process, it helps to have a working knowledge of HTML. You must know how tables work, so that you can slice your image in a way that will work with tables.
3. Then it’s time to create an HTML document that’s comprised of those slices. This will become the template you’ll use to create all the pages of your Website.

There are lots of software that can help you do that. first you need to know your skills. if your a complete novice in web development, i suggest you use software such as blue voda, dreamweaver, php designer and other related software. Photoshop and fireworks are tools that can help you design the website. PSD and PNG are quite useful in making website though it needs a lot of knowledge about designing.. Dreamweaver are also one of the most useful tool since you can make your HTML, CSS, JS, PHP and other coding standard. But still it requires you to learn how to code it. you can also use the drag and click method of dreamweaver and bluevoda in case you dont have knowledge about those. well, anyway, there are also lot of social networking websites that allows you to customize a page. such as multiply.com, myspace and hey, you can generate codes from other websites just to have a nice layout of your site.
