I’ve heard the new Intel-chip books are difficult with Adobe software – which is her primary tool (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver). Should we look for a refurbished Powerbook?

My husband likes a new apple powerbook…
mac
Hi, I’m a graphic designer and I’ve worked in both: Mac and PC. Here’s my experience: Nowadays the Adobe software works as well in both systems. The Mac has a special way to administrate the memory which is very helpful for big graphic documents.
Evaluate this: If she’s going to design websites try buying a PC. Most internet browsers, programming and design software, works much better in a PC.
If she’s designing for printing, go for a Mac. A Powerbook is a great choice, specially for a freelancer. She’ll have the best Apple laptop, with all the benefits of the Mac system and she’ll be able to take it anywhere to visit clients… That’s the choice!
