Why does my blacks in photoshop look washed out only on a mac?
I do designs in photoshop and it looks great on my PC but when i send it to my mac computer, the blacks look washed out and faded. I dont understand this at all and i’ve tried everything i can think of like selecting the blacks and putting up the levels, going into selective color and and pushing up the blacks, and even selecting the highest point on the color scale and filling with black using the paint bucket tool.
Can any photo shoppers out there help me?

I want to double major in marketing and graphic design. The thing is, I’m not sure graphic design is exactly what I want.
I can handle people critiquing me, very easily. I am not a fan of making logos but could do it if asked. I want to focus on things like photo manipulation, and creating something sort of like a digital painting. I don’t want to make random abstract designs with no shade and no tint. I don’t care much for pairing my work with words unless its the thing my work is supposed to be advertising.

I have taken some courses in html, where i learned css and javascript for building simple web pages. I want to learn more so I can self teach and start building web sites for people/companies. I don’t understand stuff like php or how or what to do for linking to databases. Can you tell me stuff I need to learn further from what I learned above. Where can I learn this stuff.

I do some pencil sketches as a hobby & my computer has a Wacom tablet that I’m not really good @. So I’m considering returning to college part-time to study art & perhaps fatten up my resume so that I can find a career in graphic art or graphic design. For the time being, what are some good jobs in graphic design, like designing logos or advertising & stuff? & is there high demand for graphic artists?
