Wow Reiq your amazing! Thanks for the help, trying to learn myself.
Hey, when you’re selecting areas of overpaint, what tool are you using? magnetic lasso, regular lasso, vector, polygonal? just curious.
I cannot tell what some of the tools he has up there are. I see the airbrush and the blending stump, but what is the other one, the one he uses three variants of?

the tall box on the lower right corner of the screen is his layer panel. It looks like hes using 6 or 7 layers, including the canvas.
Largely in part due to the use of a Cintiq…
Thank you so much for these tutorials! We posted them all on our sci-fi magazine websites. THX
wow you’re very talented in using your polygonal lasso o.O I take ages to cut a simple part using it =P
thanks for the tutorial ^^
how many different layers do you use, like in this picture?
well, i figured out how to get rid of excess paint, but I wish I had your cool paint tool!
To keep the layers seperate when transferring a file from Painter to Photoshop, save your Painter (RIFF) file as a Photoshop (PSD) file.
very informative, reiq! I’m a beginner at photoshop, but I’m using it on my deviantart page to paint a dragon that I drew. I didn’t know about using the lasso tool to get rid of excess paint! I must try that!
