A bit of a long winded way of creating a rainbow!, you can easily do the same thing in 20 seconds by creating a new brush and then apply it to the path?

for anyone that want to expand the rainbow so that it doesn’t have those white spots, jsut select the whole rainbow before you have grouped it and go to
object -> offset path -> 2 points
