I would like to know about good Art colleges in Los Angeles area. I have done some research and the results were nothing but schools with rushed programs and put-together educations (AI, Devry etc.) I want a real education in Graphic Design. To learn the basics, and move on to higher education. My goal is not to make money, is to get a well rounded, effective education.
Any artists out there with the same interest in mind, and perhaps a suggestion?
P.S: I got accepted at the Art Center College of design. I did not attend because of their astronomical prices…

I think most of the really good Graphic Design programs are on the east coast? Cal Arts is really good for graphic design but is probably about the same cost as Art Center?
UCLA offers graphic design major I think. I know their grad school is quite good for some art majors (painting, etc) so I would check them out.

That is really all I know of though sorry. Maybe check out the rest of the state schools and see what their reputations are like for Graphic Design?
