@MrLiam55555 Looks like you be better at doing novels then. Because Game Designers have to be able to draw good, write good and be good with computers. Also have to work well with others.
i cant draw and im not that good with computers…..but i have alot of ideas..

Here My Programe I made When I Was 11 Year Old
@Predatorsilenthunter some schools will want to look at a portfolio but there are schools out there like the iadt that start from the basics like teaching you to draw shade and the anatomy of the body. working everything from A-Z. im currently attending for my game production degree whichs leaves a door open a little on the part of the industry i would like to apply myself. A good idea would be to browze companys you like and see what there job req’s are and shoot for it.
@Predatorsilenthunter The best designers out there know a mix of everything.
You don’t have to be a whiz-kid in everything, just know the basics of 3D Modelling, Drawing, Programming(C++ and Java.), Color mixes etc…
Also, good candidates will have excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills.
Sometimes, Companies will prefer people with a Law, Investment Banking or Management Consulting background over those traditionnal history majors taking extra-classes for these obvious reasons.
Im just wondering, gamedesigning do u need to know how to draw??
Shoot!! iam torn!!!
when he was talking about targeting your audience i thought about it and i don’t know whi i want for my idea.it seems like a mix between hardcore and casual.
@pditie hi doctor Hadley!
is there an actual audiance there ? lol
@demoPRO1 me too
@thatguywhopwns Thx :D and i got another note book and 2 drawing books so yeah…
@jlopez0o well I’ve been looking into the industry since I was 10 (16 now though) and all I can say is this. KEEP THAT NOTEBOOK. Keep brainstorming ideas, keep creating interesting concepts and find out what makes a great game great. At that age there is little you can do as a recognised games design diploma is only achievable from college (university in the UK) or a TIGA diploma.
At your current age there’s little you can do beyond honing your ideas :) make a design document later on good luck
@notAduck1 computer science
@badchyck5 i found this online where u can make games its a little hard cuz u need to learn about Lua and c++ and java script but i was locking on tutorials for it its called unity dowload and go to youtube and put unity 3d tutorial and u will find some good help that will teach you about c++ and stuff and help u make ur first games
@pditie THIS… IS… SPARTA!!!!

@jlopez0o i have the same problems im 13 i have idea 4 games but im not sure if thier good or am i making the right career choice its either this or become some kind of doctor idk
@ochahane If it was a large project (for someone like EA) then you’ll most likely be placed on one specific job, because they have the budget to hire people based like that.. if you were making your own or working on a smaller team, then of course you could do both. It depends who you would rather work for I suppose.. ;)
Im 13 what classes in middle school and high school do i need to take that will help me in the future
great lecture.
