I’m a new graphic artist. I’m trying to recreate labels with bar-codes to be printed on plastic poly bags. My two real questions are… how can I create “camera-ready” artwork (is this just referring to an Illustrator or InDesign file?) annnnnd… do I just leave a blank spot for the bar-codes or is there a way I can place them myself? Will I need a file image of the bar-codes?

I dont understand why you are re creating labels????If you are providing a design you could include the barcode for authenticity.to show how it will appear.For camera ready you should have the dimensions and not need to do anything for a bar code except leave room for it.If its for a portfolio include it if a job leave it out!
