I’m making a website in Flash Catalyst that I first designed in Photoshop, but none of the layer styles that I applied to the text are imported into FC. So, is there any way that I can merge the text and it’s layer styles? I can’t flatten the image – although it would solve the problem, it would leave it uneditable in FC.

I think it can be an image format problem. Try to save the text layers only using File > Save for Web & Devices and in Preset box choose the PNG-24 format.
