We have two computers at my house. A laptop and a desktop. My dad always used the laptop and I used the desktop. He barely got on the desktop. But he crashed the laptop from so many viruses from LimeWire. So guess what, he got on our desktop and got LimeWire and messed it up. Im 15 and make money by producing rap/rnb beats or instrumentals and sell them online. I want to be a producer when I get older. And I have spent well over $2000 for professional programs to use. And guess what, when my dad crashed the computer, everything gone. My little sister accidently threw away my copies of all of the programs all I had was them on that computer.
He has messed the computer up about 5 times before that and had to re-format. So Im done using that, I want my own. I finally saved up enough for a decent desktop computer. I dont have too much money, but enough for a like I said, a decent pc.
I want one that has Windows XP because I have always used that. Don’t really need Vista or anything. And I want an HP. Need a lot of space because I also do graphic design and use Photoshop as well as many music programs so I need some space on there.
Im 15, but good on a computer (at least on XP) so dont really need anything less because it may be easier.
So can anyone please recommend a good computer? Thanks!

that is where i got my computer. Some of them are refurbished, for example my laptop is refurbished, but after 8 months it still runs like new and the prices are very cheap
Eh, i’d look around Futureshop/Bestbuy websites, they have these insane desktop computers for maybe $800, I mean, some with quad cores and 1T harddrives lol, I’ve seen the deals out there, they are getting much cheaper.. and for your dad, I’d just install an antivirus, makes alot of sense eh? all of that could have been avoided ^_^;;

Try to buy a good motherboard and 1 GB RAM, don’t spend a lot for HDD and Any other auxiliary till you collect more for them.
Once you collect money, add RAM and HDD, choose Normal Graphics that reduces cost and you can buy better once you will need.
I mean divide computer into two parts, replaceable/ affordable, and Base parts.
You can also choose normal Monitor till you will be comfortable to buy better one,

You can look under computers for a desktop or your own laptop and find some refurbished at really great prices or brand new that have never been used………. I’m extremely happy with a Fujitsu Lifebook but they have many different models with a wide assortment of equipment…. The listing will tell you whether it is preloaded with XP or Vista………. Refreshing that you can still get XP and not have to get a Vista……..

If i were u i would build my own computer…….it is so much cheaper than buying a computer….and ur not too young to build a computer……i just turned 15…..and i already built 2 computer…..i spent $288 on my computer that i built and it is worth around $1200….so ya……and it is so fast….if u really wanted to i could build u a computer how u would want it, but i would have no idea how i would recieve the money or watever….but good luck with everything…..email me if u want……. akbucks47@yahoo.com
