I am almost in tears..I am so freakin stressed cuz i think of somthing exiting i want to do to make money, like starting my own business of somthing..Then seriously the next day i’ll think of somthing new and the other idea will sound dull…And this just keeps happening..and david bach says that the biggest cause of failure is indesition!! So I am totally worried. Some of the stuff i think i want to do
-I am really creative so i want to get into graphic design
-I am also good at being exited and products and services so i wanted to start my own marketing buisness for companies
-I want to write a book of course
-I want to learn how to design websites
-I want to learn how to use everything Adobe has made..already know photoshop..1 out of 7 million! heh
-I want to own a business online and offline!
-I want to get a job as a saleswoman for future business
-i want to invent a product that will sell millions
-I want to have a couple charity donation organizations
What 2 do???

make a list of your goals, and then dates which you want to achieve each goal.
and remember, set REALISTIC goals, so that you can get things done in little chunks so it will not be so overwhelming
good luck! xxoxo
Take up Yoga, relax… and then just start at the top of the list!!
Good luck & have fun!!
See a psychiatrist? maybe you are manic. Just a thought. No offense intended.
What was the question? This isn’t a personal ad get a life.
Actually, there is no law that says you can’t do more then one business at once. I once worked for a corporate big wig who was an utter jerk, but he had his hand in several pots and was very successful in all of them. It was the first time I realized that you don’t do just one thing to be happy. You do as many as you can.
My advise…merge and work on all of them. It sounds like you would be a good business owner as a business consultant. You could do the graphic design (adobe goes along with this in many cases), design websites, and have your own website for online business. These three go hand in hand. Also, as a business owner, you have to sell your services all the time to be successful. You could also donate a percentage of all your proceeds to a charity, which will help you sell your products even more.
At home in the evening, write your book. There is a great book called “First Draft in 30 Days” by Karen Wiesner which will help you outline the book idea. Also, spend your evenings looking into product design. I would recommend watching “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” on CNBC. He interviews inventors who have made it big so that other people will get inspired and do the same thing.
Lastly, remember, try them all out. Whatever you don’t like, be willing to let it go. This process will not only help you find what you love, it will help you find what you do NOT love.
Hope this helps.
Your problem is NOT an indecision.
Your problem is just a lot of talk and NO action,
trying to impress yourself.
Krissy has a good idea…
Make a list of all the things you want to do………even reading a certain book……….everything……..
You will have a lot of stuff…………
Now look at the ones that you can do now………..do them and cross them off(put the date next to them)…….
Now the tougher ones like thegraphic design……….
things you have to do to get that done……..do you need school…??if yes..how long and where,,,,,,,,,,if not..where do I get experience and a position…….
Break it all down into small parts if possible…….
and move on one item as a time………..Pick up a book or two on goal setting………..Good Luck
This is not something to be upset about, shoot, you at least have some ideas for what you’d like to do in life. Most don’t even have that, so think of it as being ahead a bit.
But first things first, do something. Don’t sit around pondering which one to pick first. What can you see is within your reach or is possible to get started? Do you have any capital set aside to start a business? If you were going to write a book, it will take time, as well as many of the other things on your list…they will take some time to create, or learn, and overall actually start making any sort of profit from…so can you financially do that? Is it possible for you to take that time with no income coming in to pay bills and buy food and live?
I suggest this…before venturing out into the wilderness in terms of starting your own marketing business and line of products, start by using a system someone else has already put in place first. You will gain knowledge as to how everything works, what does not and in time everything else should begin falling into place.
The most important thing to remember…you are not going to be able to do all of this overnight. You get started and continue to move forward, making mistakes and learning along the way. If you do that, it will be 5 years from now and you won’t recognize your life as it was today.
Good Luck.
REMEMBER ONE THING CAN LEAD TO SOMETHING ELSE SO START BY VERY SIMPLY PRIORITIZING AND WRITING DOWN YOUR THOUGHTS. THEN CHOOSE FROM YOUR NOTES A THOUGHT THAT WILL GET YOU STARTED. MAKE IT FUN AND CREATIVE AND DONT MAKE IT COMPLICATED AT FIRST THEN BUILD ON YOUR PROGRESS GRADUALLY . BE MINDFUL OF WHAT IS NEEDED AS YOU PROGRESS. ENJOY !!!!!!!
Don’t worry about a title, a job, money level, payment, nothing. Just go do what you love, all the rest will fall into place IF you are doing what you love.
If you do something for title, status, cash, etc. Then you will be just like this for life.
1. graphic design takes at least 4 yr degree and people who are in it have been drawing since they were 3. unless this is you, leave it as a hobby not as a career item.
2. marketing is in everything, everything. you can go into any profession, any field with a 4 yr marketing degree. even open your own business.
3. writing a book takes time and is not done over night. and even though you write it does not mean it will be published. you would have more luck of just trying to sell it online via download or a cd. over time work on publishers. average 1st book is 7 years from start to finish. nothing is over night.
4. designing websites is a worthless item now, as items such as HTML, DHTML, XMTL, Java, etc are all done by programs such as Dreamweaver by Adobe. And every few months more new advanced programs come out. including languages and codes. To get into this field, every 9 months of college you will have to restart just to keep current. Yet since you are always restarting every 9 months, you will never graduate nor get a job. I watched a friend chase this dream for 9 yrs of college then he finally woke up. He is now a worthless IT guy for a company. Yet he has college bills till the day he dies. Learn how to play with blogs, myspace, youtube pages and feed the creative desire.
5. I had the entire Adobe package. I even went to college to learn it. Yet I learned but 12% of what the entire thing can do. Again, give it up. There are hundreds of designers for Adobe and for 1 person to keep up with what they do, what the create and all the updates. It will be like a design career. You will never get ahead but sit and tread water. If you can tinker on some of them, great. Gotta have a hobby, not everything is money, life is not money.
6. 99% of online biz’s fail within the first year cause people do it w/o business knowledge. 83% of brick and mortar business fail for the same reason. Most that open a business do so instead of going to college. And they do it with an item they have great passion for. Not just cause of a check. I myself went into business and became a car detailer later to advance into what is called touch up paint work. Now most would snicker and laugh… till they realized I make $200 per hour. But I never got into this due to cash, actually I had hoped for $18 per hour when I started 10 yrs ago. But I make what I do cause of my passion for what I do. That passion is what gets the payment.
7. if you want to write a book, own a company, etc. why would you even think of working for another, let alone in one of hte lowest paid positions as a salesperson? Thats like saying… my dream is to get promoted off McDonald’s grill to front cash register.
8. To create a product is one thing, 99% of those created never make it past stage 1. 96% of those don’t make it past stage 2. And barely 90% of those make it through the last stage. Plus it can take millions and years of work just to bring a product to market. I had an idea of a touch up paint pen. I figured few thousand and I would be selling. Wrong. After talking to everyone I realized I would need a plastic company to produce it. Just to make the form and design, $40,000. Then they would only make a minimum of 1 million units to start. Or another $62,000. Then I would still need the old toothpaste dispensing machine at around $200,000. Plus the paint, someone to mix it all, to clean it up, easily another $400,000 for the year. And I still haven’t stickered it, boxed it, shipped it, let alone advertised it, web site, commercials, etc. And this was for nothing more than a pen that put touch up paint on a car!! sad huh.
9. Charities are great to have, but HARD work. Cause of the laws, regulations, fact you really don’t make money off them. Its really better just to help one that is already in business to either become better, more organized or just to assist them in charity. There are too many wheels in the world yet few are rolling.
10. Sit down and make a list of your top 3 items you just love to do, no matter what they are. Then figure up from those 3 which you would want to do, every day, every minute of your life. Not for cash, but cause you just love to do it. That is your career. The other 2 are back up careers through life or your no. 1 and 2 hobbys.
Hey
Sometimes i have the similar feeling like you .But i think we should relax and then think about which is your goal that you want most and then take it to practice .I think you will feel good .I f you want to do vevrything you want ,i don’t think you can do everything well . We are not superman ,we need concentrate one or two more things ,not every .
Take myself for example ,i want to do and learn many things ,but i find it is hard to do all of them ,so i choose to do my job well as a sale .
Hope you can relax and good luck .
Thanks
