Question by Madge: What colleges have the strongest Graphic Design Degrees?
I am going to be a high school senior and am strongly considering a career in graphic design. What schools have the best programs in this area? I live in Ohio so a school in the Midwest or a bordering state would be perferable, or strong programs that have an exceptionally low tuition would be great. Thanks for any help you can provide!
I know that the University of Cincinnati has a great Graphic Design proggram in DAAP, but admittance is highly selective, so any additional schools would be helpful.

The best graphic design schools in the US include some in your region: Cranbrook Academy of Art is quite good. Others I’d have you look at include: U Cinnci (which you mentioned), Ohio State, Cleveland Institute of Art, Ohio U, Kent State University, Miami U of Ohio, and Bowling Green State. Some of those are public unis in your home state, so for you are a bargain. Of those, the strongest are Cranbrook, Ohio State, U Cincinnatti, Ohio U and Cleveland Institute.
