Question by Madge: What colleges have the strongest Graphic Design Degrees?
I am going to be a high school senior and am strongly considering a career in graphic design. What schools have the best programs in this area? I live in Ohio so a school in the Midwest or a bordering state would be perferable, or strong programs that have an exceptionally low tuition would be great. Thanks for any help you can provide!
I know that the University of Cincinnati has a great Graphic Design proggram in DAAP, but admittance is highly selective, so any additional schools would…

Question by Summer: Help with Graphic Design career dilemma?
The only thing that has been stopping me from entering this field (taking a degree in it) is not feeling confidant about being able to be great with technology. I have been going back and forth whether to take the plunge or not. I have the creative urge and the talent and I believe my future lies in a creative field but I feel I won’t be great with the computer part. I don’t know how adept and knowledgeable I will or can be with the different softwares and troubleshooting if…

Question by Sienna M: Can you help me with questions about a graphic design career?
I am thinking about becoming a graphic designer when I get older and I wanted to do some research on the career. I don’t know any graphic designers or how to contact one for an interview or questioning. Does anybody know someone who’s involved in the industry or has their own company? I kind of want to work as a graphic designer for clothing. Can anybody help?

Question by MiNapi: Graphic design and drawing illustrations?
I’m interested in the field of art and I see that many places offer graphic designer jobs.
I’ve also heard that some graphic design careers allow you to illustrate things by hand.
Is this true? If I like to draw characters, and other random things, by hand, is a graphic design job a good way to go?
Are there any advertising/marketing jobs that need people who have a creative illustrating ability? If there is, what is this type of career called?
Please help.

I’m going to have to look for colleges soon, and I want to either go into fashion design or graphic design on the computer. Is there a career that involves both? I have heard of textile design which is done on the computer, but is that designing clothes or fabric? – I’d really like to know a carrer I’d be good for and I would like it to also involve a little sewing (fashion design). any suggestions?

The purpose of going to college I thought was to find a good paying job and to get ahead in life. What good is a degree if you need experience outside of your degree to find a job in your field. Every job I have interviewed for says you need experience, but I have to get a job to get experience. My area is Graphic Design…What do you reccommend??

A little background… I’ve been kind of a burnout, and have the opportunity to go to school. I want to be a web page designer. As far as I can tell, as long as you can create a great website, you can find a good job in this career. So, would it matter if ITT tech was accredited or not, as long as I’m good at what I do?

I heard that a AA degree in Graphic Design is no good compared to a BA in that particular field? Is it true if I major in Graphic design with a AA degree I would probably be jobless considering that all Graphic Design companies want someone with a BA?
