I have used InDesign CS4 on Windows XP and have recently switched to Mac, however the files on the Mac aren’t showing the same. All of the fonts have a pink background behind them that I can’t seem to get rid of, it’s almost like it’s being highlighted but it isn’t. Keep in mind I have used fonts on the WIndows machine that aren’t on the Mac but how do I fix this problem on the Mac?

(The file is a Encapsulated PostScript, EPS)

I can “place” the file with no moaning messages but when I import it, the square that comes up around the imported EPS is tiny. When I expand it using the Shift and drag method and then right click to press “content to frame” I can’t see anything there.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is it supposed to be like that?

Cheers.

So I designed my book cover in Adobe InDesign, and I have 9×12″ sheet of cardboard. My issue is that when I try to print it out, it is either in the wrong direction, wrong size, or both! How can I print it out in the correct size in the correct direction?

By the way, the cover from edge-to-edge is 7.5″ by 5.25″.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

I am a teacher working with Korean students. I use desktop publishing software (either Xpress or InDesign; I have access to both) to lay out flash cards. I need to import a list from a text file written in Korean characters into an Xpress or InDesign file–either one would work. InDesign has Korean fonts and will allow me to type in Korean, but it won’t recognize the Korean text. It imports each character as a “?”

Any guidance about how to get these Korean words into the file?

Thanks so much,
