We have two computers at my house. A laptop and a desktop. My dad always used the laptop and I used the desktop. He barely got on the desktop. But he crashed the laptop from so many viruses from LimeWire. So guess what, he got on our desktop and got LimeWire and messed it up. I am almost in tears..I am so freakin stressed cuz i think of somthing exiting i want to do to make money, like starting my own business of somthing..Then seriously the next day i’ll think of somthing new and the other idea will sound dull…And this just keeps happening..and david bach says that the biggest cause of failure is indesition!! I am going back to school but need to know by next week what I would enjoy doing as a career(future passion) . I would be great hands on work like art or hair. I dont want to be broke forever and if I go for art direct i will owe tons of money and will have to sacrifice alot to get there. I’m very old at age 26. I recently graduated with my degree in graphic design and art. I have a job that’s related to my field but it’s only part time. I have been looking for a second job. The economy has been very sh*tty so I been looking for jobs outside my field. I am a just starting out my career in graphic arts. I went to school and I am a few classes shy of completing my bachelors degree. I need to get out and work so that I am holding more that a piece of paper on graduation day. My resume looks like someone forgot to write it. My portfolio is far from polished, but it is mostly school projects. I am scared about the job market. Any advice from working professionals?

I would like to know about good Art colleges in Los Angeles area. I have done some research and the results were nothing but schools with rushed programs and put-together educations (AI, Devry etc.) I want a real education in Graphic Design. To learn the basics, and move on to higher education. My goal is not to make money, is to get a well rounded, effective education.
Any artists out there with the same interest in mind, and perhaps a suggestion?

I am an adult woman. I have been exploring myself/interests/talents. I had some revelations.. and don’t know which would be my best bet/choice? And Why? I am for sure.. going to be taking a two year program for an associates in Graphic Design.. to help support me financially. business idea: take regular/flared jeans and sew/fix them to make them into skinny jeans, put my tag/label next to the original companies and sell the jeans….would this be legal and would it be a good idea? i would sell the jeans to fashion boutiques and at conventions…..if this isnt a good idea what could i do to make some money and start a business? i am into fashion and art/graphic design and sports. please help!

Sorry so long but…
I graduated college last May in graphic design and I’m only a seasonal employee who does art work at Six Flags. Since August, it has been the worst four months of my life. That’s how long I’ve been job searching and all I got out of it so far was 5 interviews, no offers, I followed up. I even applied places outside my field of study.
