Give me your opinion. Talking STRICTLY web design here.
Also please don’t harp THAT much on the vector aspect, I use Adobe Illustrator CS3, so unless you see a reason why working with vectors with Fireworks is better than working with them in Illustrator, just keep that minimal.
I’m looking for a compelling argument. Not that you couldn’t make one out of vectors vs. raster, but many people I know will try to simply answer (Fireworks does vectors and bitmap so it’s better) or something silly like that.

Is there way to insert text box over the web design layout I sliced up in Photoshop?
I don’t have knowledge in HTML and CSS but I want to insert text over the design that can be selected or hyperlinked. I know I can put the design as a background image instead, I somehow don’t think it’s what Photoshop’s slicing feature meant to be used….
I was also looking for “layer” in Dreamweaver but I guess the feature is no longer available. Wish there is a hint I can get from you guys. Thanks in advance.

I am starting my own web page company and I was wondering if anyone out there knew how to make QUALITY photoshop templates for maybe $50 a piece. Just the template. If you do please send me an e mail jiffymixx2000@yahoo.com let me know what kinds of things you can do. flash, macromedia etc. and send me some that you have done!

When I paste a design from Adobe Illustrator to Photoshop the colors are never the exact same hexadecimal. How can I keep the hexadecimal color value exactly the same between these two applactions? I am using Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2.

I am able to access Adobe Photoshop on some of my school computers, just by gong to START > then All Programs > Then Art & Design > and then Adobe Photoshop.
I need to get this for a school project (due for tomorrow), so i cant do it on the school computers, i need to do it tonight at home on my laptop.
(Its an acer laptop, if that helps)

I’m making a website in Flash Catalyst that I first designed in Photoshop, but none of the layer styles that I applied to the text are imported into FC. So, is there any way that I can merge the text and it’s layer styles? I can’t flatten the image – although it would solve the problem, it would leave it uneditable in FC.

I see a lot of tutorials that design web pages in Photoshop and some in Illustrator. But will designing the page in Photoshop cause the page to load slower? or does it matter? Is there any advantage for using one over the other? Is InDesign OK to use?

For instance if you design a website with a bought version of photoshop, does that mean you can design and publish, copyright, sell, your graphics and designs, forever or no t?
