How can I develop my Graphic Design skills from home? I am mainly interested in doing layout, being able to use different programs etc. I will not be drawing. Are there any good courses or tutorials I can take at home? Any input appreciated. Thanks!

I want to be able to design a website and then write the code to put it to use. Should I major in Graphic Design or something similar to computer science (btw, im not that good at math). I want to be a web designer/developer. Is there a difference between the two? Im not sure if when I major in Graphic Design that I will be taught how to code (HTML, CSS, mySQL, etc.) as well.
Help!
Thanks in advance

I am a 17 year old high school senior. As of now I am wanting to go into graphic design. I was thinking of making money with what I know already. I do not want to have any iffy-ness with the goverment though. I am unsure of the term freelance. So I am hoping to become a video game designer as my career in life. I am currently a sophomore in High School. I would like to know what colleges are the best. What classes I need to succeed in to become a video game designer. And what are some good small jobs to do before I leave High School that would look good on the college application. And any other information that would be good so I can succeed in this career.
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!

Graphic design is a field of artistic expression; the skills of a graphic designer provide a steadier income than other artistic fields.
