As in any profession, I am sure that there are some dishonest freelance designers out there. It is unfortunate that people like this can give an entire network of people a bad name. There seems to be a misconception that you won’t get the highest quality of service or unique designs when choosing a freelance graphic designer over a large Internet company. I’m here to clear up some confusion.

Hello, I’m currently a senior at an art school studying graphic design. I’ve been asked to do some freelance work and design a logo that was already drawn out by the customer (basically translate his drawing to a graphic) and create business cards, letterhead, and a website. What do you guys think I should charge for each of those? Thanks for the help!

I’ve heard the new Intel-chip books are difficult with Adobe software – which is her primary tool (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver). Should we look for a refurbished Powerbook?

Have you ever questioned your spelling, grammar, or writing ability? then an editor proofreader program is something you owe it to yourself to learn about. These days, with pcs on everyone’s desks, writing has become even more important in order to impart knowledge and ideas and to “speak” to one another. I have visited many freelance websites but they all ask for bid. And I have bidded on many of them, but nothing happens, many of my past friends do freelance projcts, they told me that they connect straight to the people who give freelance projects. So If there is any body who give freelance projects or know any good address please contact me.
Thank You

I am a graphic designer and i’m looking to branch out and start doing some freelance work. My roommates older sister wants me to design a logo/business card for a new business venture she is pursuing…what would be the correct pricing for something like this if i’ve had about 4 years experience in the field? And do I charge hourly or a flat rate?

So I have a BFA in advertising/graphic design, but I can’t find a job JOB doing that, so I was hoping for some tips for freelancing while I work my part-time, regular job. I have hit craigslist with no luck, and similar sites seem to charge to post, and I don’t exactly have money growing out my nose! Lol…..any advice would be appreciated!
