Learning web design can be quite confusing as there is such a myriad of different tutorials and learning hubs on the net.
Many of the top web designers have learned their trade not through formal education and degree courses, but because they are autodidacts, that is, they are self-taught.
Even at this stage in the 21st century, universities and higher education facilities are not geared up to teaching the new media, so those wanting to learn the necessary skills have had to find their own sources of education.

The term graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. All company websites need excellent visual web designs as well as being coded to the latest standards. Good web designers and programmers are in short supply and companies are happy to employ agencies and web design freelancers that can tick all the boxes.
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have a good understanding of current technologies and be prepared to follow the latest web design trends. If you can do this then you are a few steps away from earning a reasonable living from web design.

I just graduated college and I’m looking to start work in either graphic design or animation. I have skills in Adobe and Final Cut Pro’s families. I looked for jobs, but all positions require previous work experiences, so I figured I need an internship.
Where can I find internships, preferably to be done online, much like freelance work is done???
