How do I fix a corrupt style sheet in Adobe InDesign?

Posted on March 8th, 2010 by brianone shout
I work with two Macs to layout a school newspaper. They both have the same styles, but on one of the computers, every style appears bold when applied to the page, even though none of the styles have ‘bold’ checked under the basic character format’s font style. Do you need to convert text to outline in Indesign?

Posted on March 4th, 2010 by brian2 shouts
I need to print out a project at a print house and I know they prefer to not deal with font problems so they request files containing font to be converting to outline. I do not see this option in indesign. Is it necessary? How would I do it? Image taken on 2009-04-03 01:44:07. Image Source. (Used with permission)

Other publishing software seems to be able to do this, but I haven’t managed to do so in Indesign without the use of additional software. Image taken on 2006-09-16 17:02:39. Image Source. (Used with permission)
