Use Photoshop or Illustrator for logo design?
I have been using Photoshop for almost three years now and am very familiar with it, but recently I have been given the job of creating a website as well as a logo for a company.
I wanted to use Illustrator for a vector-based logo, but I do not understand it as well enough as Photoshop. Does anybody know if you can spice up an Illustrator drawing with same effects that can be achieved in Photoshop?

What’s the best way to make sure you get paid for designing a logo?
I’m a freelance graphic designer, just starting out. Do I send the client the proof, then ask for some sort of deposit or do I NOT work on the logo anymore before I get my money?

London 2012 Logo in 7.58 minutes
The logo for the London 2012 Olympics cost £400000. Here is a video of me recreating the logo in 7.58 minutes. That works out at £478.46 per second. Do you think it was worth it ? Edit: Further comment to clear a few misconceptions. The program used in the video is a modified version of GIMP.
