This is a Quark xpress Tutorial detailing the following elements: Inserting text boxes and linking them together, Changing text size, colour and font style, applying text effects (eg drop shadows). Inserting pictures, Cropping pictures (in Photoshop to import into Quark), Scaling (resizing) pictures, manipulating images (applying effects). Adding banners and shapes.

In the first part of this tutorial I start to show you how to replace a dull and boring sky with an interesting cloudy blue sky. Apologies for having to divide it, I tried fitting it under 10 minutes to fit it onto youtube but couldn’t manage it with the material I had to cover. I hope it doesn’t confuse you too much. Please give feedback if there’s something I’m doing that’s not working for you (I’m new to making tutorials and I’m learning a lot myself about how to present stuff)
